Approval workflow

Definition

An approval workflow is the path a product follows between teams before it is published: who captures it, who reviews it, who approves it and in what order.

In large catalogs, several areas touch the same product record: purchasing, content, e-commerce, sometimes the supplier. Without a clear workflow, nobody knows which step each product is in or who is holding it.

A PIM with workflows shows where each product is and what it needs to move forward. In Bruxel each product's journey between suppliers, teams and systems is visible step by step; the flows guide explains it.
