Marketplace

Definition

A marketplace is a platform where many sellers list their products for the platform's buyers, in exchange for a commission or a fee.

To sell there, each product must meet the marketplace's content rules: its own categories, required attributes, title limits, photos with a defined background and size and, often, a GTIN.

A well-structured catalog adapts faster to each marketplace: the same product record is mapped to each platform's categories and attributes instead of being rewritten. Before publishing, check each one's official guide, because their requirements change.
