Product feed

Definition

A feed is the file or connection used to send a catalog to another system: a store, a marketplace or Google Merchant Center, with the columns and format that destination requires.

It can be a CSV, an XML file or an API. What matters is that each destination defines its columns, allowed values and required fields, and an incomplete feed gets products rejected.

A PIM builds one feed per channel from the same product record. In Bruxel the export comes out with the columns, order and separator each channel defines; the export guide shows how.
