Product enrichment

Definition

Enriching a product means completing its record beyond the basic data: attributes, description, category, images with alt text and translations.

Data coming from the ERP or the supplier is usually enough to invoice, not to sell. Enrichment is the work that turns a spreadsheet row into a product record that can be published.

Doing it by hand does not scale to thousands of products. That is why an AI-powered PIM proposes the content from the real data, and the team reviews it before publishing.

  • Product attribute

An attribute is a product characteristic stored as data rather than free text: material, color, dimensions, power, size or compatibility. It is used to filter, compare and fill what each channel requires.

Completeness measures how much of the information a product needs has already been captured: its family's attributes, its content, its images and what each channel requires.
