Schema.org

Definition

Schema.org is the shared vocabulary search engines use to describe things in structured data: products, organizations, articles, FAQs and much more.

It was created jointly by the main search engines so a page could say “this is a product, this is its brand and this is its price” in a language they all understand.

For a store, the most important type is Product, with its offer (Offer). For a blog, BlogPosting and FAQPage help search engines understand the content.
