SEO

Definition

SEO (search engine optimization) is the work of getting a site's pages to appear, and appear well described, in Google's and other search engines' results.

In a store, product SEO depends mostly on the product record: a clear title, a useful description, correct structured data and images with alt text. Google asks for content made for people, not for rankings.

With large catalogs, the challenge is consistency: thousands of product pages with the same quality. That is where a PIM comes in, generating and reviewing that content in one place.
