Catalog localization

Definition

Localizing a catalog means adapting product information to another language and market: translating the product record and adjusting units, terms and what each channel in that country requires.

Word-for-word translation is not enough: the same product is searched with different words in each country, and some data, such as measurements or sizes, changes system.

A PIM keeps each language of the record and sends each one to its channel. In Bruxel translation starts from what is published in the primary language; the catalog in two languages use case shows it.
