Metrics and the quality report

What the Metrics screen measures, how to read your catalog health, and what the PDF report and the list of incomplete products contain.

Video transcript

In this video, you'll measure how complete your catalog is and share it as a PDF.

At the top is generation activity: descriptions generated, success rate, credits and attempts.

You pick the range: seven, thirty or ninety days.

Below is catalog health: completeness is the average across all your products.

Each product earns up to 30 points for brand and category, 30 for attributes and 40 for published descriptions.

The three buckets tell you whether it's all half-done, or one part complete and another not started.

And below, what's missing: not generated, no brand and no category.

“Download report” gets this same health as a PDF, for people who don't use Bruxel.

It has the summary, what's missing, coverage and completeness by brand, category and family.

And the incomplete list downloads every product under 100 as a CSV, with what it's missing.

In the next video, you'll see how your product would look in the store.

What Metrics measures

Metrics brings two things together. At the top, generation activity for the range you pick —7, 30 or 90 days—: descriptions generated, success rate, credits spent and attempts. Below, your catalog health: how many products you have, how complete they are and what they are missing.

Catalog health

Catalog completeness is the average of all your products. Each product earns up to 25 points for brand and category, 25 for attributes, 35 for descriptions published in the languages you configured and 15 for having a main image.

The three buckets —complete, partial and not started— tell you whether that average is the whole catalog halfway or one part perfect and another empty. Below them you get coverage and what is missing: not generated yet, no brand, no category and deleted products.

If you see «N products have an outdated score», their completeness is waiting to be recalculated. «Recalculate now» brings it forward; otherwise the nightly process does it on its own.

The PDF report

«Download report (PDF)» turns this same health into a document you can send to people who don't use Bruxel: the summary, what is missing, coverage, the catalog structure, activity in the last 30 days and completeness by brand, by category and by family.

  • The numbers are the ones on this screen at the time shown on the document: it is not a separate calculation.
  • Each breakdown shows the groups with the most products; if there are many, the last ones are added up in a single row at the end. Products with no brand, category or family get their own row.
  • Each product counts in one category only: the first one in its category tree or, if it has none, the one from its file.
  • If you have channels, it says how many products go into each channel's file and, as long as the catalog is not too large, how many are ready and which columns are missing most. For the rest, «Measure» in Channels gives the same reading.

It comes out in the language your screen is in, and every download is recorded in your organization's audit log.

The list of incomplete products (CSV)

«Download incomplete products (CSV)» gives you one row per product below 100, from least to most complete, with its SKU, name, brand, category, family, completeness and what it is missing. Use it to split up the work or to filter in a spreadsheet.

  • «marca» and «categoria»: it is missing its brand or its category.
  • «atributos:3/10»: it has 3 of the 10 attributes that count toward its completeness. «atributos:sin-definir»: your catalog has no attributes yet, which you fix in Attributes.
  • «ficha:en,pt»: the configured languages it has no published description in.
  • «dato-viejo»: its completeness is waiting to be recalculated. «sin-calcular»: it has not been calculated yet.
  • «imagen-principal»: it has no ready image on its product page.
The headers and these words are always in Spanish, whatever your screen language, so that a spreadsheet filter keeps working no matter who downloads the file. A cell that starts with «=» gets an apostrophe in front so the spreadsheet does not run it; the SKU is left untouched because it is the key for loading the file back.

Who can download them

Both files are for operators and above, like the other catalog downloads. A viewer or an editor sees this whole screen, but not the download buttons.
