How to pay

The two ways to buy credits — card or SPEI bank transfer — and what to expect from each.

Video transcript

In this video, you'll see both ways to buy credits: by card or by SPEI bank transfer.

You choose how many descriptions you want and how to pay.

By card, through PayPal, the credits arrive as soon as the charge is approved.

Bank transfer is for companies that buy with a purchase order, and it's paid in Mexican pesos by SPEI.

If your company needs it, enter its purchase order number and it's printed on the quote.

The quote has the bank details, the exact amount and a payment reference.

The reference goes in the transfer's concept field: it's the only link between your deposit and your account.

The order shows its status, and you download the PDF quote with your purchase order.

The amount must match exactly, the quote is valid for 14 days, and the credits arrive once we confirm the deposit.

In the next video, you'll see which document you get in each case: quote, receipt or invoice.

Card or bank transfer

Credits are bought from Account → Credits. You choose how many descriptions you want — the minimum is 10 — and Bruxel quotes the total before charging anything. You pick how to pay right there.

Payment methodWhen credits arriveCurrency
Card (via PayPal)Instantly, as soon as the charge is approved. You don't have to wait for anyone.Your account's currency.
SPEI bank transferOnce we confirm your deposit reached the bank. That check is done by hand.Always Mexican pesos (MXN), even if your account displays another currency.
Bank transfer exists for companies that buy against a purchase order and can't pay with a corporate card. It settles in pesos through SPEI, so it's meant for accounts that can transfer from a Mexican bank. If the credits screen only offers card, transfer isn't enabled on your account yet: get in touch and we'll look into it.

How buying by transfer works

The order matters: the quote comes first, then you transfer, and credits arrive when we confirm the deposit. Nothing is credited up front.

  • Choose the quantity, select “Transfer” and create the order. If your company needs it, you can enter your purchase order number so it appears on the quote.
  • Bruxel shows you the bank details, the amount and a payment reference. You can download all of it as a PDF quote.
  • Make the SPEI transfer from your bank for the exact amount, putting the reference in the description field.
  • We review the deposit and confirm it. At that point the credits land in your balance, your receipt is issued and we notify you.

The payment reference

It's a code shaped like PAGO-XXXX-XXXX that identifies your deposit. It goes in the transfer's description or reference field. It leaves out zeros and lookalike letters on purpose, so you can type it by hand without mistakes.

The reference is the only thread between your deposit and your account: the bank statement doesn't tell us which organization the money came from. If you mistype it or leave it out, your payment arrives but we can't tell whose it is, and it has to be traced by hand. Copy it with the button, or check it character by character before sending. And don't confuse it with a discount coupon, which starts with BRX-.

The amount must match exactly

The deposit has to be for the same amount the quote states, to the peso. The quote freezes that price: it doesn't change while it's still valid, even if our rates do.

If the deposit arrives for a different amount — higher or lower — nothing is credited automatically, not even a proportional part. Your money isn't lost, but the order has to be settled by hand and that takes time. If your bank charges a fee, make sure the amount that arrives is the one on the quote.

How long a quote lasts

A quote is valid for 14 days. If they pass without the deposit arriving, the order cancels itself and we notify you inside the app. Nothing is charged and no credits are lost: the order never credited anything, so there's nothing to refund.

What if you transferred right after it expired? Your money isn't lost. The reference still works to find your payment, and we sort it out with you — usually by issuing a new quote at the current price. If it happens, get in touch with the reference at hand.

When you run out of credits mid-task

If you ask for something that costs more credits than you have, Bruxel doesn't send you to another screen: it opens a window right there that says how many credits you're short and offers up to three quantities, already quoted: the one that covers what's missing and, when they're larger, the usual 100 and 1,000 descriptions. Nothing is charged or generated until you buy: the task you asked for doesn't run, and you ask for it again once you have credits.

  • You buy by card from that same window and PayPal brings you back to Bruxel. If the payment went through, in that same tab and for an hour you'll see a “Continue where you were” button that takes you back to the screen you were on, filters included.
  • If you'd rather pay by bank transfer or you have a coupon, the window takes you to the credits screen with that option already selected. With a transfer, credits arrive once we confirm the deposit, so there's no return button there.
  • The window only sells to people who can buy: operator and above. A viewer or an editor doesn't see the actions that cost credits, so they normally don't see the window either; if it ever opens, it shows a notice asking them to have someone with that role make the purchase.
Credits belong to the organization, not to each person: if someone else on your team spends while you work, the window can appear even though your screen said you had enough. The numbers it shows are the server's at that moment.

Quote and proof of payment

While the order is awaiting payment you can download the quote as a PDF: it carries the bank details, the amount, the reference and your purchase order number if you entered one. Once it's paid, the document that counts as proof is the order's receipt, not the quote. A tax invoice is requested separately.

Who can buy

Buying credits requires the operator role or above: a viewer or an editor can't. What does require the administrator role are the organization's tax details, so if you're going to request an invoice, it's best to have them filled in before paying.
