Images and storage

How to upload your product photos, assign them, and how the storage you buy works.

Video transcript

In this video, you'll upload a product photo, write its alt text and see how your space works.

From the product record, “Upload images” saves the photo to your library and assigns it to this product in one step.

The first one is the main image: it's the one exported as the base image.

“Remove” takes it off this product, but doesn't delete it from your library.

Images holds your whole library, and the bar tells you how much space you've used.

Alt text describes the photo for people who can't see it and for search engines: the AI writes it in four languages at once.

The cost is on the button, and if it doesn't finish all four languages you aren't charged.

Your account comes with space to get started, and if you need more you add blocks paid monthly with credits.

If you're short on credits one month you get 15 days of grace, and we never delete your files over a missed payment.

What you delete goes to the trash for 30 days, and meanwhile it still takes up space.

In the next video, you'll create a model and photos of your product with AI.

Uploading photos

There are two paths, and both send the file straight to our storage — it never goes through an intermediate server, so uploading a heavy photo won't slow down the rest of the platform.

  • From Images: the “Choose files” button, or drag several photos onto the upload area.
  • From a product page: the “Upload images” button uploads and assigns them to that product in one step. You can also drop them onto that section.
  • Formats: JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, TIFF, HEIC and AVIF. We check the file's actual content, not its extension.

Assigning and removing

An image lives in your library and can be assigned to several products at once. Each product's first image is the main one: that's what gets exported as the base image.

“Remove” detaches the image from that product but does NOT delete it from your library. To really delete it use “Delete”, which sends it to the trash.

Alt text with AI

Alt text describes the image for people who can't see it and for search engines; several marketplaces require it. The “Write with AI” button generates it in all four languages at once, and the cost in credits is shown on the button itself. If the AI can't complete all four languages, you aren't charged.

Storage

Your account includes free storage so you can try things out. If you need more, you buy blocks charged monthly against your credits. The bar on the Images screen always shows how much you've used.

If you do thisWhat you're charged
Buy storage for the first timeA full first month, on confirmation
Add more while up to dateOnly the difference; your renewal date doesn't change
Reduce or cancelNothing. The current month isn't refunded and the change applies immediately

If your credits run short

When renewal comes around and your balance isn't enough, you enter a 15-day grace period: your storage stays intact and everything keeps working. As soon as you top up credits, the charge goes through on its own. If 15 days pass without a top-up, the extra storage lapses and your limit returns to what's included.

We never delete your files over a missed payment. Even if the extra storage lapses, your photos are still there: you can view, export and download them. The only thing you can't do is upload new ones until you free space or buy it again.

The trash

What you delete goes to the trash and can be restored for 30 days. After that it's deleted for good.

While in the trash, your files STILL take up storage. If you're told you're out of space, emptying the trash is the first thing to check.
